Step back into the Wild West of 1857, where gold fever is high, tempers are short, and secrets are deadly. Announcement of Murder, a classic murder mystery dinner theatre by Shot In The Dark Mysteries, transports audiences to the Cherry Creek Saloon — a lively oasis of music, cards, drink, and camaraderie in an otherwise dusty and uneventful frontier town. On the surface, it’s just another raucous night filled with piano music, gambling, and good cheer… until everything goes terribly wrong.
When a heated accusation of cheating erupts into a full-blown saloon brawl, the evening takes a dark turn. As the dust settles, one of the card players, the suspicious and secretive Jeb Lyman, is found stabbed beneath the wreckage — his money pouch mysteriously missing. With a brand-new sheriff in town who’s determined to make his mark, no one is allowed to leave until the murder is solved. Was this a crime of opportunity, revenge, or greed? And is the missing sac connected to the killing — or are there two crimes to untangle?
